This course is designed prepare participants on the basic Caregiving Principles and Skills. 

The Quality and Safety Education for Nurses (QSEN) competencies of Patient Centered Care, Teamwork and Collaboration; Evidence-based Practice (EBP), Quality Improvement; Safety and Informatics are introduced and applied to the participants knowledge, skills and attitudes in providing patient care.

  • Module 11: Promoting Comfortable Environment 

  • Module 12: Providing Restorative Care 

  • Module 13: Assisting with Positioning and Transferring 

  • Module 14: Personal Care and Hygiene and Skin and Wound Care 

  • Module 15: Nutrition and Hydration Needs 

  • Module 16: Elimination: Urinary and Digestive Systems 

  • Module 17: Assisting with New Patients, Transfers and Discharges 

 

Unit 4: SPECIAL CARE SITUATIONS
