This course focuses on the physical, mental and emotional effects on a person who has alterations in mobility. Common health problems and medical interventions such as surgery that limit mobility are examined. Related risk factors and defining characteristics are addressed. Nursing assessment and interventions to prevent complications of immobility are explored using clinical case studies.
