This course provides a basic framework for caring for a patient experiencing a critical illness. The course covers topics such as: assessment, titration of IV infusions commonly administered in the critical care setting, an overview of ventilators, interpretation of lab values and best practice response to frequently encountered critical care emergencies. This course enhances: clinical knowledge, critical thinking, confidence and competence in caring for the critically ill patient.
