This course is an overview of the anatomy and physiology of the brain, including the cranial nerves and spinal cord. It covers the pathophysiology of disorders and injuries of the neurological system, as well as the neurological patient assessment and nursing interventions. Included in the course are medications, diagnostics and treatments for the patient with altered neurologic function.
